Always install new releases on a test server and verify the results prior to doing so in production.

Ensure that you have a recent backup of your production database prior to installation.

For Process Director v5.44.600 and higher, the most recent Microsoft Rewrite and Advanced Request Routing IIS modules must be installed. These modules can be downloaded and quickly installed by obtaining the ARR v3.0 download package from Microsoft. Microsoft states that the ARR download package should already contain the existing External Cache Module dependency, so it should be the only installation you need to perform. The URL Rewrite module can, if necessary, also be separately downloaded from Microsoft.

ENG-15839: Cache statistics have been added to count calls to UPDATE/INSERT/DELETE commands to enable better troubleshooting and performance measurement.

ENG-15905: The Search feature of the Content List will now perform searches for all or part of an object's ID value (GUID).

ENG-15932: Some default values in the dropdown selections for configuring a User activity have been changed to reflect more common use cases.

ENG-16105: The new user profile property, Show Content List, was added to the Excel user export/import feature.

ENG-16311: The nDBCommandTimeout Custom Variable has been updated to govern database timeouts used when generating a Report that uses SQL commands.

ENG-16339: Implemented clickable breadcrumb paths for the Content List.

ENG-16418: The default value of the fEnableContentListLimit custom variable has been changed to “true”, to avoid possible performance issues when navigating through the Content List and encountering folders with many content items, i.e., greater than 1,000 items. Related issue: 16163.

ENG-16428: A new icon has been added to clear the contents of the Search/Filter bar in the Content List.

ENG-16455: The SMTP UserID and SMTP Password properties on the IT Admin > Installation Settings > Properties page have been updated to be disabled by default. This change will prevent Password Manager applications like LastPass from filling the fields automatically with unwanted values. Enabling buttons have been provided to make each of these property fields editable.

ENG-16362: Additional checks to prevent the unnecessary display of “Server Communication Failed” banner messages were implemented.

ENG-16473: The Settings menu in the UI now provides access to partial administration functions for the appropriate users. Additionally, a new user property, Meta Data Admin, now enables a user to be given access to the Metadata Administration section via the Settings menu.

ENG-16474: Debug Mode has been made more restrictive, to enable access only by System or Partial admins.

ENG-16492: Options for Adobe Flash were removed from the Report object.

ENG-16580: Performance improvements for filling Dropdown controls with database data were implemented.

ENG-12695: Subtasks in a Process Timeline Activity can now each be assigned a different due data via System Variable, by default, all Subtasks share the Due Date specified for the Timeline activity. This improvement now enables a different due date to be specified for each subtask.

ENG-12927: Various improvements have been made to the EAS encryption process, as well as the process to re-key existing AES encryption.
