Always install new releases on a test server and verify the results prior to doing so in production.

Ensure that you have a recent backup of your production database prior to installation.

For Process Director v5.44.600 and higher, the most recent Microsoft Rewrite and Advanced Request Routing IIS modules must be installed. These modules can be downloaded and quickly installed by obtaining the ARR v3.0 download package from Microsoft. Microsoft states that the ARR download package should already contain the existing External Cache Module dependency, so it should be the only installation you need to perform. The URL Rewrite module can, if necessary, also be separately downloaded from Microsoft.

Enhancements

ENG-29222: Added a new "Microsoft Graph API" SMTP authentication type that sends email through the Microsoft Graph API using Client Credentials flow. This enables email sending for customers whose Microsoft/Entra ID tenants enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which is incompatible with the existing OAuth Microsoft (ROPC) option. The new option does not require user credentials — it authenticates as the application itself using a Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret from an Azure AD app registration. Large attachments (over 3MB) are automatically handled via a draft message with chunked upload sessions, supporting attachments up to 150MB. Existing authentication types (Standard, OAuth Microsoft, OAuth Google) are unchanged.

The Database Cache Connection String provide less-privileged access to the database and is used for routine operations performed by users.

ENG-22556: The _Set Message seen by all users_ or the _Set environment message seen by all Users_ properties on the Server Control page of the IT Admin area now parses System Variables.

ENG-22565: The Radio Button List has replaced the Radio Button control in the common controls toolbar of the Online Form Designer. Related Issue: 23096.

ENG-23024: The Icon Chooser now enables a “No Icon” selection at all times.

ENG-23079: The ability to create new Workflow Definitions will be disabled as a default. A new Property on the Global Variables page, Enable Workflows, will enable the creation of workflows. While Workflows currently remain in the product for backward compatibility purposes, they are deprecated, and BP Logix strongly recommends against their use.

ENG-12695: Subtasks in a Process Timeline Activity can now each be assigned a different due data via System Variable, by default, all Subtasks share the Due Date specified for the Timeline activity. This improvement now enables a different due date to be specified for each subtask.

ENG-12927: Various improvements have been made to the EAS encryption process, as well as the process to re-key existing AES encryption.
